The Earth on Turtle's back 🐢🌎

I personally liked the short story because it was a fictional story using animals and a women all symbolizing different things and all that just caught my attention. It also had me imaging a picture in my head kind of like this one . Overall i think it's a good story to tell kids to expand there imagination and who knows maybe we are on top of a turtle's back.

Richard Cory

The poem about Richard Cory I feel like was written to send a message saying that you never truly know a person. You can know all these facts about them, first impressions, and opinions on them because of how they act or dress but you can never really know THEM. The theme of the poem is focused on showing us that not everything you see is all there is, that there could be more to a happy, mad, sad, person. The tone of the poem for me started off with happy positive vibes and then the tone started getting dull and at last had me feeling the opposite of what i felt when i barely started reading and i feel like that was the thing that was going to help him really get the theme/message to stick out right in our faces and it did.

The Right To Your Opinion Response

My thoughts on the article was that it had a lot going on. I thought that it showed clearly what the author was trying to justify, for example it had examples and many of them too. He used an example of Bush and the Iraq situation to clarify that if two people debate about something and one of them says they have a right to there opinion there just basically changing the subject of what they were talking about. He didn't only use examples in that situation but in many. I also thought it was cool how he encouraged us to learn about our rights but how he added a plot twist saying that sometimes we don't even know our rights. Overall my thoughts on the article were that it got me thinking and while i read and i even got to a point where i was questioning myself and i think that was the purpose of the article so i think it's a great article.
