  • The album Graceland was about a bunch of songs that were strange at the time because genres were mixed of course because he did it with the people from South Africa  

  •  The album built a bridge between the African and American culture

  •  Phones are a distraction and make interacting with people harder than it should be, some people may use their phones because there shy and don’t want to but some just like using it and it interferes with there knowledge on interacting with others

  •  Sometimes it’s easier to talk to somekme behind a screen then in person

  •  A culture is how you are and what you believe in and it can make someone from another culture uncomfortable for example Lesley made an example about El Día de Los Reyes and how his friend felt uncomfortable because it wasn’t part of his culture

Essay

          School is on my mind. No, obviously not because of good reasons. I ask myself, is school really that  necessary, not just school in general but all the subjects that you NEED to take in order to graduate. I find it to be a waste of time that i have to take an amount of years for every subject, i really don't care about science or history enough to take 2 years of them. Why can't we just decide whether we need science or history etc for our later on careers.           Being forced to take classes i don't care about makes school so much less interesting like if it wasn't boring to begin with. An example of how some subjects are just not necessary to begin with is that i want to be a makeup artist or hairstylist something in that department because you don't need to be educated as much like if you wanted to be a lawyer, point is i really hate school and i like doing makeup so yeah. Chapter 1: 1. What was Nick referred as in college because of the fact that he was such a reserved person? 2. Does Nick seem happy having to go threw the steps his past relatives took? (same school, same career, etc...) Chapter 2: 1. Who's Tom having an affair with and what's she like? 2. Tom took his time to go to New York to see his other women, why do you think he's cruel enough to break her nose while he's there? Chapter 3: 1. Why does Nick observe Gatsby so much? 2. Gatsby looks like he has parties but with people he doesn't know, why is it that he talks to Nick out of all people and when it wasn't even him who personally invited him to the party? Chapter 4: 1. Do you think Jordan got called in to talk to Gatsby because he wanted to ask the same question he asked Nick? 2. What question did Gatsby not want to ask Nick and why?

WHAT MAKES SOMETHING FUNNY?

To me for example when I see memes there either really funny or not at all. I feel like I’ll laugh at something dark when I’m alone but never when I’m with people atleast with the people I don’t know, I also make very dark jokes at times and it doesn’t necessarily mean I’m a bad person that’s just the way my sense of humor works. But then it’s confusing because some people could make dark jokes and it’ll bother me so I guess the only dark jokes that are funny are mine. People also find videos of where people get hurt because they fall and that’s not funny at all for some reason at least to me like yea if a baby falls but I know it doesn’t hurt them, they just cry cause they got scared, then it’s funny but things that I know actually HURT are not funny. Things like that just make me feel second hand pain and don’t get me started with things that make me feel second hand embarrassment like I really wish I thought things that made other people embarrassed would be funny because I hate the
